Amy Rhone

BIO: 

Amy Rhone began her job as State Director/Administrator in Nebraska in 2020. Amy has been with the Department of Education since 2015 serving in the role of Assistant Director for the three years prior to being named the Director in March of 2020. Before joining the Special Education team, Amy served as the statewide PBIS Director within the Department of Education.  Prior to her roles at the Nebraska Department of Education, Amy was an Administrator of an Elementary School as well as a Local Special Education Director in Arizona. 

Amy believes the best part about leading special education in Nebraska is being able to truly support all individuals (parents, school leaders, educators, providers, etc) who will impact the lives of Students with Disabilities.
