In support of our Target 5 Global Impact initiatives and celebrating 100 years in service for South Eastern Regional, Pi Nu Omega  participated in our "Keep It 100" Collection Drive.  From the month of  March through April 3, we were able to collect 600+ items and donated to the following organizations:

Pi Nu Omega was able to donate through our corporate partner Soles4Souls a total of 352 pairs of new or gently worn shoes. By us donating these shoes, it helped to save 10,560 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions released when new shoes are manufactured. This same 352 pairs of shoes can provide food, shelter or education for countries such as Haiti and Honduras for up to 6 months. 

We coordinated with our AKA partner Lion's Club to help decrease blindness, help restore eye site and help improve health and eyecare for thousands of people around the world by donating 68 pairs of readers and gently used prescription glasses. 

In recognition of Project AKA, Pi Nu Omega was able to donate a total of 69 throws and 161 pairs of fuzzy socks to the patients of Tennessee Oncology of Murfreesboro and DaVita Dialysis of Murfreesboro. 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, Chapters will collect gently-worn shoes and transport the shoes to specified locations. Soles 4 Souls, a non-profit organization, will process and ship shoes to destinations around the world populated with people of color.
