We are Future Ready! By Kelly R. Silwani

Question:  What do over 100 school librarians from Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, administrators, and the Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction have in common?

Answer:  They were all seen at the Future Ready Librarian Workshop on Saturday, April 13th!

What. A. Day!  Our full day workshop was led by the amazing Shannon McClintock Miller, Teacher-Librarian, Future Ready Librarians spokesperson, author, and international speaker. We spent time learning about being a Future Ready Librarian and the Future Ready Framework. There was time to collaborate, learn about new resources, and come away with new ideas to share with our students and staff.  We also learned how the Future Ready Framework can make us leaders outside the library. A special surprise was seeing that Paolo DeMaria, Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction was there to cheer us on! He shared his personal connection to libraries, told us he loved hearing all of the wonderful things we were doing, and encouraged us to share our successes.
